Brian started Arete Mortgage in 2017 after working for years in the mortgage industry. Brian and his family live in the Foster/Powell neighborhood. Aside from spending as much free time as possible with his wife and daughter, Brian enjoys almost any outside activity, catching up with friends over a coffee, and, when possible, traveling!

Matt joined Arete Mortgage as a loan originator in 2021. He lives in the Woodstock neighborhood with his partner, Ashley, and their 2 papillons, Boba Fett and Frida. When not eating pizza at Assembly Brewing, you can find Matt training for his next marathon along the Springwater Corridor.

Patrick Connolly

Patrick joined Arete Mortgage in the Spring of 2023. A life-long Oregonian and avid outdoorsmen, Patrick lives in the heart of Portland with his wife Kelly, and their two children Ira and Hazel. When he’s not going on family bike rides to Grand Central Bakery, you’ll find him busy with his latest home improvement project, or exploring the natural wonders that Oregon has to offer.

Morgan has been in the mortgage industry for over a decade, managing nearly every step of the mortgage process. You can usually find Morgan skiing with his family in the winter, playing a round of golf, rocking out with his band, or volunteering with various community organizations.

Austin is Arete's newest loan officer, joining in March, 2022. He's a native Oregonian who recently returned from living in Florida so he could enjoy the Pacific Northwest hiking and outdoors. He and his fiancee have their hands full taking care of their two mini-aussies, Beni and Xavier.
